Barabara Kruger magazine

For this TafeSA design project, I created a square magazine that reflected and informed readers about the work of Barbara Kruger. Due to the direction of the brief wanting to portray the designer/typographer’s style, research about the designer was essential. I reflected her style through typography, graphics, layout and colour. This task aimed to teach the importance of research and how to implement design styles based on information gathered.

To ensure the magazine was an accurate depiction of Kruger’s work and visually appealing I used the high contrast of black and white elements as well as pops of red. The red draws the viewers eye in and creates hierarchy between elements.
